Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Must have prior travel experience and experience with specific cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips • Required experience with: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, and insulin drips • Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers not accepted • Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 during days/nights, 1:6 on weekends; 32-bed unit • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred • Must work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere • Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed • Call requirements are rare with 2-hour response time • Holiday work required based on assignment period (1-2 holidays must be worked if they fall during assignment) • Scrub color: Navy Blue • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Epic charting system preferred, also uses Pyxis and SBAR • Must manage patients with overflow IMCU conditions, arrhythmias, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions • Care for post-cardiac catheterization patients, TR bands, DKA, occasional orthopedic or CVA overflow patients • Skills required: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, heparin protocols Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed telemetry unit that serves as an overflow IMCU, providing specialized cardiac and medical-surgical care. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care with modern equipment including 24/7 respiratory therapy support for high flow oxygen and BiPAP therapy, and utilizes Epic electronic health records system for optimal patient management.
