Georgia Hospice Care (GHC), a leading provider of end-of-life care, seeks an empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurse for our After-Hours Hospice program. This position will involve providing night and weekend care, ensuring continuity of comfort and compassionate support to our patients across multiple counties. The role is crucial in managing symptoms, offering emotional support to families, and implementing tailored care plans developed during daytime operations. Join our team of committed healthcare professionals in a supportive environment where you can truly make a difference in the lives of our patients. Provide direct patient care in accordance with end-of-life care plans. Assess patient condition during visits and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Educate and support patients' families on end-of-life care and coping mechanisms. Document and maintain accurate patient records. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on symptom management. High emotional intelligence to manage both patient and family expectations. Experience in palliative care nursing preferred. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. CPR certification required.
