Georgia Hospice Care (GHC) is looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN-After Hours / Weekend Nurse to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional end-of-life care during after-hours and weekends, ensuring our patients in various counties across Georgia receive the comfort and quality of life they deserve. This position requires an individual who is patient-focused, responsive, and can manage emergent situations with grace. As part of GHC, you will work within a supportive environment that values your contribution and provides opportunities for professional growth. Provide direct nursing care to patients in end-of-life situations during assigned after-hours and weekend shifts. Assess patient condition, administer medications, and maintain patient comfort at all times. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor care plans based on patient needs. Educate and support patients and their families regarding end-of-life care and processes. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and GHC policies. Strong clinical skills in a hospice or palliative care setting. Excellent communication and empathy skills, especially in handling sensitive situations. Ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
