An opportunity is available for a registered nurse experienced in operating room environments to provide specialized care in a dynamic outpatient surgery center. This contract role offers a structured schedule and the chance to work within a dedicated surgical team focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Location: This position is based near Cumming, GA, serving a bustling outpatient surgery center located in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The region offers a blend of suburban comfort and urban amenities, known for its diverse dining options, parks, and strong community feel, making it a desirable place for healthcare professionals to live and work. Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Requires availability for designated on-call shifts and DOTs Responsibilities: Deliver preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care specific to operating room protocols Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes Maintain sterile field and uphold infection control standards throughout surgical procedures Respond competently to emergencies and assist with ophthalmologic surgeries, if required Document patient information and surgical interventions accurately Qualifications/Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience Current Registered Nurse licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Experience in ophthalmology operating room nursing is highly desirable This contract opportunity is an excellent fit for nurses seeking hands-on operative care experience within a reputable outpatient surgical setting.
