Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Fayetteville, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,984 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required, unit accepts first-time travelers License: Licensure required Certifications: RRT required; CRT not accepted Must-Have: BLS, NRP, PALS Description: This position requires the Respiratory Therapist to work in the NICU setting. The candidate will have a minimum of one year of clinical experience in the field. The unit expects the candidates to be available to float within the facility as needed. Working on weekends is required every other weekend. There is no call requirement for this position. The candidate will be expected to work on major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work the holiday(s) with no holiday RTO requests allowed. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time. Candidates must be proactive in submitting core items to ensure an on-time start. References from supervisory personnel are highly preferred at the time of submission. The candidate must hold a valid GA or Compact license. The following skills are essential: - Direct intubation - Extubation - Intubation assist - Nasal airway placement - Nasal airway suctioning - Oral airway placement - Oral/nasal suctioning - Sputum specimen collection - Tracheostomy care/management - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Mechanical ventilation weaning - Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP - Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms - Suctioning (ETT, NT) The position involves providing respiratory care to neonates and infants. The importance of adhering to facility guidelines and standards is emphasized throughout the assignment. Candidates should exhibit familiarity with various medical equipment utilized in the NICU.
