MedCadre is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/14/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Title: RN Medical Surgical Locations: Macon, GA 31217 Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) Traveler Weekly Blended Pay : $1794/Week ($17/hr on W2 Stipend: $1182) Locals Hourly Pay : $42/Hour Start Date: 07/14/2025 Job Type: 13-week Contract Position Summary: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year - Unit accepts first time travelers WEEKEND: Every Other FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed Key Responsibilities: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
