For more information please visit www.harrisfreeman.com.We are currently seeking candidates for the following shift/ positions:(1) 3rd shift Maintenance Industrial Mechanic (Mon-Fri 10:30 PM- 7 AM)In a Manufacturing Environment the successful candidate will be able to: Perform maintenance on all types of production equipment Operate power tools and basic shop machinery for repairs, make modifications and improvements to existing equipment Must be able to follow Good Manufacturing Practices Proactively collaborates with managers and others to assess machine and mechanical issues Follow all company safety and quality requirements. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed. Experience working in the Food Industry is highly desirableMinimum QualificationsOne or two years of hands on experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance activities.Be able to use measuring tools such as caliper, tape measure and micrometers.Be familiar with metric system and units of measurements.Be able to read and comprehend machines user manuals and follow SOP instructions.Be able to read and understand technical drawings and blue prints.Be able to demonstrate proper use of hand and shop tools in a safe manner.Be able to assemble/disassemble components like bearings, bushings, gears, sprockets, etc.Machine shop and welding experience is preferred.Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus, such as using a multimeter, troubleshooting sensors, motor starters, etc.Be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices, Lock out/Tag out and work place safety practices.Technical college degree or certificates are preferred.We offer a competitive pay and benefits package including medical/dental/vision insurance, employer 401(k) match, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
