If you are dedicated and ambitious, our family-owned company is an excellent place to grow your career!The General Manager reports to the Vice President of Regional Distribution and is responsible for driving and coordinating the activities of the Distribution Center, leading a team of up to 30 and managing the overall performance including P&L, equipment, personnel administration, safety, facilities, and work schedules. It is the General Manager's objective to meet or exceed the annual budget, and inventory goals while fulfilling the customers' expectations for product availability and service.Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversee all Distribution Center functions and workspaces.
  • Consistently deliver high level customer service experiences by being a daily active participant.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Act as the highest source of information at the Distribution Center for all warehouse, inventory, product concerns and standard procedures (for both employees and customers)
  • Recruit, interview, and hire the best team in the market.
  • Proactively develop employees to achieve a high-performance level and manage costs and assets of the Distribution Center to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Help train new employees in company procedures, including safety and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide accurate reporting of various key performance indicators as directed by senior management.
  • Participate in business and process reviews from a leadership viewpoint.
  • Interface with company shared resources and other departments to support employees and customers.
  • Follow and abide by all industry standards, regulations, and laws.
  • Stay up to date on industry standards and any new innovations, materials, tools and/or processes that can benefit the company.
  • Keep a safe and clean workspace at all times .
  • Maintain an inclusive and tolerant working environment for all employees.Education & Training:
    • Bachelor's degree or industry experience. (Required)
    • Computer literate and proficient with inventory catalogs and various Microsoft Office Suite products and Google software and programs.Knowledge & Experience:
      • 5+ years of industry experience in heavy-duty replacement parts
      • 3+ years of experience in supervisory/management position
      • 3+ years of sales experience (parts sales preferred)
      • Proven track record in operations and customer service
      • Works well under pressure and manages stressful situations with ease
      • Strong customer service and salesmanship skillsSkills & Abilities:
        • Ability to manage a P&L.
        • Ability to calculate profit margins and other simple math functions.
        • Excellent communication, externally and internally up and down the organization.Physical Requirements:
          • Must be able to lift/carry 100lbs - Infrequently
          • Must be able to lift/carry 50-99lbs - Occasionally
          • Must be able to lift/carry 1-49lbs - FrequentlyBenefits:
