What you'll do We have an exciting role for a diligent project manager, looking to make a difference in the field of environmental, health and safety (EHS)! This role requires strong project management skills and close collaboration with internal customers and outside partners to ensure ongoing compliance and risk management. This position is responsible for finding opportunities and driving improvement of EHS risk for multiple locations along the US East Coast. This role is regionally based, working to implement programs, processes, and procedures within different business sectors. The day-to-day Support the development and maintain the overall ownership and execution at the regional level for Viasat's Integrated EHS Management System Be the accountable representative for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification for all regional facilities Develop, deploy, and monitor all regional EHS programs, procedures, policies, and standards in a manner that ensures compliance to Federal, State, Local, Customer, and align with Corporate EHS requirements. Ensure these programs are implemented in a creative manner and aligned with the Viasat culture. Partner with Operations Leadership at multiple levels to ensure alignment and support of EHS compliance and improvement activities across all regional sites and be an active sponsor for implementation of EHS aspects as they pertain to regional improvement opportunities Create and collate EHS key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, produce relevant reports and initiate targeted prevention programs in conjunction with the EHS and wider functional and operational teams Act as the EHS subject matter authority for development, engineering, operations, and specific business segment-specific projects Perform audits and inspections at all regional sites at various intervals Training and/or coordination of training for staff on various EHS topics such as hazardous materials, waste management, fall protection, confined space, working at height, elevated work platforms, etc. Incident notification, investigation, reporting, and tracking of corrective actions to closure Provide a high-level of service to internal customers and stakeholders and maintain relationships with cross functional teams (supply chain, EHS, corporate quality, facilities, etc.) in order to further collaborate in EHS opportunities and improvements Define applicability of national and international regulatory requirements through processes and controls What you'll need Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in occupational safety and health, environmental management, or related field In depth experience in EHS management experience demonstrating successful management of projects and audit management from kick-off to completion Experience managing, communicating, and holding business areas and facilities to account for EHS targets, objectives, and KPIs Demonstrated ability to manage ISO 45001:2018 and/or ISO 14001:2015 systems across multiple sites highly preferred Demonstrated experience in leading cultural change across an organization; experienced in using multiple approaches to helping people adopt and implement controlled sustained change Demonstrated experience implementing EHS standards, training, and legal compliance Experience establishing metrics, analyzing data, and developing dashboards and reporting, including executive reporting In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products 5+ years of related work experience US Citizen Ability to travel up to 25%, including Canada What will help you on the job Related post-education training and certifications such as, but not limited to, CIH, CSP, CMIOSH, CPEA, or CHMM preferred Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities A passion for EHS, sustainability and social responsibility and an in depth understanding of the global context, various stakeholders, concerns and impacts related to this discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Salary range $104,400.00 - $188,000.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
