Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the backend framework using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and RabbitMQ.
  
• Collaborate with the research and penetration testing team on new tools and strategies for expanding the framework.
  
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend framework.
  
• Ensure proper documentation of the framework, including code comments and technical specifications.
  
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and enforce Ruby on Rails coding standards.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and RabbitMQ to incorporate new features and optimize existing functionalities.
  
• Mentor and guide junior backend engineers.
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  
  • At least 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of the framework's principles, conventions, and best practices.
    
  • Proficiency in Git, including experience with branching, merging, and managing code repositories.
    
  • Must be able to use Linux without any assistance.
    
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
    
  • Ability to adapt and learn new creative ways to solve inefficiencies through automation.
    
  • Understanding of networking protocols and terminology.
    
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
    
  • Possess a level of experience with penetration testing (e.g., junior-level certifications, experience, etc.) or desire to learn.
    
  • Proficiency in working with Sidekiq and RabbitMQ for background processing and messaging.
    
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
    
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies.
