- Competitive pay Job Description The Distribution Center General Manager contributes to Mattress Firm's success by efficiently managing the day-to-day operations of their assigned distribution center.
- Responsible for efficient day-to-day operations of the DC
- Responsible for meeting overall financial objectives of the distribution center (DC) compared to budget
- Leads and develops the distribution center team
- Ensures standardized operations in accordance with safety policies and procedures
- Trains team members in understanding DC financial and operational goals
- Creates and fosters an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort
- Provides strategic vision and communicates organizational mission and values to the team
- Educates team members and contract employees on customer satisfaction measures and holds them accountable to results
- Holds monthly DC-wide meetings to communicate organization/DC wins and opportunities and speak to any questions or concerns
