Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing and successfully implementing alumni relations, donor stewardship, or events with an overall goal of relationship building. Position Summary This position is based in the UGA Odum School of Ecology and reports directly to the Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator. Its purpose serves to promote and enhance development through alumni relations, corporate engagement, stewardship and event management. This position will independently manage and coordinate various special projects and events that connect and build meaningful relationships between alumni, industry partners, parents, and other friends of the college with the ultimate goal of leading to philanthropic support. This position's chief responsibility is to expand and enhance the development functions of the school through personalized engagement strategies and events. Background Investigation Policy Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Relationship Management: - Responsible for managing relationships that lead to future philanthropic support. Prospects could consist of alumni, board members, annual donors, parents and industry partners.
- Provide information on the Odum School of Ecology relative to constituents' interests. Share upcoming opportunities to attend events, volunteer as a speaker or panelist, meet students, and work with faculty in ways that will deepen their engagement with the school.
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of the Odum School and its undergraduate and graduate programs, research and outreach.
Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities Donor Stewardship: - Coordinate weekly gift acknowledgement process.
- Develop and implement an acknowledgement, recognition and engagement plan for annual industry partners program. Work with the Career Center, Business Engagement and Odum School colleagues to ensure industry partners receive stewardship that matches their gift level annually.
- Develop and implement meaningful and appropriate recognition and stewardship for giving levels within the school.
Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities Board and Committee Management: - Coordinate the agenda and logistics for Alumni Board meetings (thee virtual, once in-person per year). Work closely with the Executive Committee during the nomination period and throughout the year to ensure all board members are aware of their opportunities and commitments.
- Coordinate the agenda and logistics for committees and task forces designed to achieve development and alumni relations goals.
