Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse RN Telemetry to join our faith-based healthcare organization. As part of our team, you will be at the forefront of delivering personalized, innovative care in our telemetry units across various locations. Telemetry nurses at Ascension use high-tech equipment to monitor patient conditions and are critical in the early detection of life-threatening complications. This position offers the unique opportunity to travel to various Ascension locations, providing care and gaining diverse experiences, while upholding our mission to enhance health outcomes with a spirit of compassionate care. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and ensure the correct functioning of telemetry equipment. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor reactions. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and families on management of illnesses and post-treatment home care needs. Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol. Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations or treatments. Expertise in telemetry and other cardiovascular monitoring systems. Strong clinical skills in a high-stress environment. Proficiency in the use of medical software for patient care management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse patients and staff.
