Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 8, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) position requiring a FL or compact RN license and advanced cardiac certifications. Details - Position based in a hospital Stepdown Intermediate Care unit with 30 high acuity beds - Cares for complex cases including post open heart, post TAVR, post pacemaker, drip titrations, chest tubes, and use of BiPAP - Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15 - Every other weekend and Easter holiday required - 36-48 hour contract options available Requirements - Active FL or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience - Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required - NIH Stroke Scale certification required and must be current as per facility guidelines - Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information - Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address - Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate, with radius rule specifics varying by state - Must provide two professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration - Auto offer process in place for all positions - COVID vaccination is not required - Holiday work required for Easter - First-time travelers are accepted American Traveler Job ID P-669499.
