This role is pivotal in managing patients' recovery from anesthesia, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing essential patient care after surgical procedures. As a PACU RN, you will be at the forefront of patient recovery, ensuring a safe and smooth transition from anesthesia to consciousness. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness during the recovery from anesthesia. Assess patients’ post-operative status and pain levels, administering medications as prescribed. Provide timely updates and care assessments to surgical teams and family members. Implement post-operative care plans and assist in patient discharge or transfer to other units. Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and collaborative rapport with colleagues. Expertise in PACU environments or critical care settings. Strong skills in patient assessment and medication administration. Ability to operate standard post-anesthesia monitoring equipment. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
