HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team in the Operating Room (OR). This role is pivotal in providing top-notch surgical care, aligning with our commitment to excellence in healthcare and service to the community. The successful candidate will be integral to our OR team, working alongside surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, and compassionate care to our surgical patients. This position requires a deep understanding of sterile procedures, a strong ability to respond swiftly and accurately to changing situations, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to all patients undergoing surgical procedures. Assist in the maintenance of sterile environments and ensure adherence to all surgical safety standards and protocols. Administer medications and monitor patient status during surgery. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
