HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Vascular Thoracic General Surgery team. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing vascular, thoracic, and general surgeries. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and support while collaborating with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a dynamic hospital environment. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients' medical histories and symptoms, including observations, interventions, and treatments. Educate patients about surgical procedures, recovery strategies, and long-term healthcare management. Regularly monitor patient recovery and adjust care plans based on progress and feedback from patients and doctors. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care. Advocate for patients’ needs and serve as a liaison between patients, families and physicians. Proficiency in surgical care and acute patient management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
