New FSED · Is there a specific start date needed? 7/8/25 · Duration of need? 1 year · What’s the schedule? On-site call coverage weekends nights 7a-7p 7p-7a o Are there specific dates needed? all o If call is involved what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? o Call/Rotation schedule? · Will they take an APP or SFA when applicable? Physician only · Who should be the timesheet approver each week? · What are expectations for orientation? ie shadow day? EMR training? Shadow/Orientation Candidate Parameters · Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? No – will take Family Medicine · Experience level? EM experience will be working alone. FT ER work for the past three years with 6000 hrs cumulative Credentialing questions: · Will emergency privileges be an option? yes · Are case logs needed? If so what are the requirements? Hospital/unit questions · Number of beds? · Census? · How many daily admissions? · Are there any consults and if so how many per day? · What’s the patient population? · Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? · What does the support staff look like? · How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient Specialty Specific Questions: EM · What are the shift times? 7a-7p 7p-7a · Is call involved? no · How many patients are they rounding on per day? 2 patients/hour · Will they round in the ICU? no · What does support staff include? · Are procedures and vent management required? · What specific procedures are required? · Daily census? 26 encounters/day in 24 hour period.
