HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our dedicated nursing team. This role is vital in managing the recovery of patients who have undergone surgery, ensuring they receive the highest standards of care during the post-operative phase. The RN PACU will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to monitor patients' vital signs, manage pain, and handle immediate postoperative care, including complications. This position requires a compassionate approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively under pressure. Monitor patient vital signs and assess levels of pain, ensuring a comfortable recovery environment. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Assist in the recovery of patients from anesthesia, observing for complications and necessary interventions. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, ensuring they understand all discharge instructions. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to coordinate and improve patient care. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with all legal and hospital guidelines.
