Job Description NEW Supervisor – Central Sterilization (Sterile Processing) Opportunity Location: East Coast of Florida Schedule: Full-Time | No Weekends A respected acute care hospital on Florida’s Treasure Coast is seeking a Supervisor of Central Sterilization to lead daily sterile processing operations. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced sterile processing professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about quality, safety, and team development. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and a recognized regional provider of advanced surgical, cardiac, and emergency services, offering a dynamic setting with a strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence. Role Summary The Central Sterilization Supervisor directs and oversees the daily operations of Sterile Processing. This role ensures all surgical instruments and trays are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. What You’ll Do • Supervise and coordinate daily sterile processing department operations • Lead staff responsible for decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments • Ensure compliance with TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards • Monitor quality control, workflow efficiency, and infection prevention practices • Train, mentor, and evaluate sterile processing team members • Collaborate with surgical services and clinical departments to support case readiness • Maintain documentation and department performance metrics Required Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience • At least 1 year of leadership or management experience • Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) required • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire • Vocational or technical school graduate Interested!?
