Growing together. - The -Associate Patient Care Coordinator -is responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions. - Schedule: -Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Location: 787 Cortaro Dr Ruskin, FL 33573 Primary Responsibilities: Provide exceptional service to all customers Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documents Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies Processes walk-in patients and visitors Uses, protects, and discloses patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards Answers phones and schedules appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicating pertinent information to patients and ensuring all patients have been assisted Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public Performs all other related duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? - Put it all together - competitive base pay, a full and comprehensive benefit program, performance rewards, and a management team who demonstrates their commitment to your success.
