Job Summary and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision operates MRI equipment, positions patient to produce diagnostic images in a safe manner and performs related duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Operates MRI equipment to make image scans of designated portions of the body. Adjusts equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination. Instructs and explains procedures to patients. Selects proper technical factors, on an individual patient basis.
  • Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure based on guidelines recommended by the ACR and radiologists.
  • Reviews provider orders for correct procedure & information. Obtain lab results if needed based on criteria for contrast injection.
  • Performs reconstruction and special processing of data.
  • Arranges, attaches or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices to obtain precise position, prevent motion and aid in patient comfort.
  • Prevents cross contamination. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness, including provision for the contamination free condition of room, equipment and personnel.
  • Demonstrates Customer Services principles and behaviors appropriately.
  • Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.What will you need for this role:
    • Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required
    • ARRT registry required
    • State of Florida license required
    • BLS certification required
    • MR certification required
