Prescription medications are becoming increasingly expensive and are often associated with a high side effect risk profile. New advancements in specialty medication therapy have resulted in breakthrough treatments for complex diseases. The Specialty Medical Precertification program is a medication management program that helps ensure prescribing compliance by comparing the medication request against medical necessity requirements using Clinical Policy Bulletins.



The Specialty Precertification team is expanding at a rapid rate to help ensure appropriate utilization and improve patient outcomes. We are looking for nurses to manage the utilization of the specialty drugs on the National Precert List and follow AETNA Clinical Policy Guidelines
