2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Nights)Position Summary * 7:30 pm - 7:30 am - Rotating shift: 2:2:3 (on: off: on) - rotating weekends*2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Nights) is a key support function for the Manufacturing and Technical Service Areas. They are responsible for the planned and unplanned maintenance of production and plant equipment utilizing their skill and knowledge to troubleshoot, identify, and repair equipment in a timely manner. They are also tasked with the interpretation of drawings, manuals, and electronic searches to identify replacements parts for non-stock items.* 7:30 pm - 7:30 am - Rotating shift: 2:2:3 (on: off: on) - rotating weekends*II.-- Basic Function:-- A Process Maintenance Technician's primary duty is to provide direct technical support to operations area as it relates to equipment. This role will work collaboratively with multiple functions and departments to ensure equipment and associated production systems operate in a safe, and quality-oriented manner. Responsibilities include: providing training and assessment support for equipment operation, set-up, changeover, and troubleshooting, providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner, creating and revising GMP as it relates to equipment activities, supporting or owning work orders and preventative maintenance and calibrations.The Role - Performs activities in support of the manufacturing operations including set-up, changeover, maintenance and repair
- Utilizes mechanical and/or electrical skills to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to production and plant facility equipment
- Leads small scale process improvement projects
- Completes work with a limited degree of supervision/mentorship
- Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
- Completes a variety of atypical assignments (e.g., corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance), as needed
- Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
- Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
- Safely performs work in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Provide training support for equipment set-up, operation, and changeover
- Basic Familiarity with manual machining equipment and fabrication (if machine shop focused)The Candidate
- Associate degree with 1+ years of relevant experience; High School diploma with 3+years of relevant experience or vocational training
- Technical Certificate or higher preferred
- Possesses intermediate mechanical and/or electrical skills and education
- Basic machine shop and hand tools skills
- Computer skills/Electronic work orders
