Job Summary To test construction materials from CEMEX USA operations, analyze and report the results. Job Responsibilities - Research and develop chemical admixtures suitable for use in concreting applications
- Make modifications to existing admixture formulations to improve overall performance
- Identify, plan, coordinate and participate in identifying raw materials suitable for use in various admixture formulations
- Make plant visits as necessary to work with the appropriate staff to troubleshoot production related problems in a timely manner
- Develop QC parameters for chemical admixtures to ensure product uniformity
- Support the Q.C./Q.A. initiatives at the admixture plants
- Plan, promote, and organize training activities for the plant Q.C. technicians
- Supporting external/internal cement customers with concrete and admixture related field questions, problems or claims
- Participate in identifying alternate raw materials to meet the plant raw material needs and/or to lower production cost while maintaining a good quality product
Qualifications - Two years of experience in organic chemistry and formulating products for use in the ready-mix concrete industry is desired
- Degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields. Master of Science is valued.

Working Conditions - Mostly indoors, in temperature-controlled environment.
