Job Title: Network Engineer -Gtmo -4689 Job Location: Panama City, FL 32401 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Network Engineer position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals that work in Building 2144, Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Cuba. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and security across our network systems. Responsibilities include configuration, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our organization's networking needs. Skills / Experience Required - 5+ years of extensive experience in DoD network engineering, showing proficiency in a range of related tasks
- Offer operational and maintenance (O&M) support for the OMC NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS Network Infrastructure situated in NSGB, as well as the Special Access System Network Infrastructure across both the NCR and NSGB locations
- Provide comprehensive engineering and installation (E&I) support for LAN wiring and fiber optic cable terminations within OMC facilities at NSGB, encompassing both inside and outside plant setups
- Develop and furnish detailed engineering implementation plans, inclusive of diagrams, List of Materials, and project schedules, crucial for E&I initiatives Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure seamless support, with provisions for additional materials and staffing for projects exceeding predefined firm-fixed price (FFP) thresholds
- Maintain meticulous as-built cabling/fiber documentation and diagrams for the OMC Network infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for ongoing operations and future modifications
- Configure and oversee network encryption devices to uphold robust security measures and safeguard sensitive data transmissions
- Take charge of managing assigned IP address allocations, ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to established protocols
- Coordinate closely with DISA and other Contractor personnel to facilitate WAN optimization and redundancy support, fostering seamless connectivity and resilience across network infrastructureEducation / Certifications
- High School graduate
- One of the following DoD 8570.01M baseline certifications:
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Continuing Education
- (CE) or International Information Systems Security
- Certifications Consortium (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) AND Required Computing Environment Certification listed below:
