This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:The role will support a shift ofMonday - Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM with extended support as needed. - Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements
- Performs shop order release/closure in the MRP System and reconciles parts
- Provide detailed status of work in progress, and material availability, and communicate constraints to schedule
- Prepare work orders for the production of parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics, and program.
- Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders
- Work cross-functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas
- Implement material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stock
- Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing - custodian of the cash
- Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work is completed on time to schedule.
- Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and stranded material
- Enter material transactions in the ERP system
- Prepare reports and note shortages/damage
- Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
- Prepare for, conduct, and assist in the reconciliation of cycle counts
- Knowledge of backflush process.
- Work with Production and Materials teams to resolve part discrepancies
- May be required to interface with departments throughout the company
- Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision-making skills, and the ability to think outside the boxQualifications:
- 1+ years of production planning or supply chain experience
- Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling
- Experience working with a cross-functional team
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.
- Excellent written /verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
