Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will perform general duties involved in the precision cleaning and inspection of aerospace hardware to support Blue Origin's launch facility and test stand programs for various spaceflight systems. - Monday- Friday (weekends as needed)
- Multiple positions availableResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
- Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
- Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
- Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
- Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
- Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
- Set up and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments.
- Conduct general housekeeping of Precision Cleaning Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
- Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 0-20 years of precision cleaning experience
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field
- Experience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.
- Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
- Ability to lift items to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
- Must possess a strong work ethic, prove ability to follow directions, and meet expectations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft OfficeSuite.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:
