Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Education Desired : Bachelor of Business Administration Travel Percentage : 0%Job DescriptionGENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Plans and coordinates all aspects of-- projects from initiation through delivery.
- Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
- Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles.
- Creates project charters to identify project scope, critical success factors, risks, etc.
- Manages the project work plan and holds the team and project resources accountable to variances in budget and hours.
- Possesses thorough understanding of estimation, letters of agreement, master service agreements, staffing model, average bill rates and cost structure by level.
- Interacts with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams.
- Oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
- Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Develops alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.
- Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.
- Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
- May include managing the customization of base products to meet client requirements, system integration with other FIS or third-party products or consulting projects and engagements.
- Delivers informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups in FIS and/or in client organizations.
- Identifies project management coordination process gaps or areas for improvement, recommends and implements solutions.
- May work at client sites from time to time requiring some travel.

- Be accountable for all aspects of end-to-end program delivery.
- Able to create and maintain the largest and most complex plans (high level and detail).
- Able to adapt delivery processes to the client/ situation.
- Able to manage Defect logging and tracking with Development teams and coordination on product delivery, patching cycles.Commercial and Financial Management Knowledge
- Able to manage budgets, implementing financial management processes needed.
- Able to review implementation estimates for contracts and project execution for a large project and/or program.
- Able to understand the commercial "bigger picture" and able to advise clients on the best course of action while considering cost, effort, risk and potential outcomes.Strong Governance and Stakeholder Management
- Able to run governance with functional sponsors and contributors for the largest and most complex project or programs.
- Proven stakeholder and client management skills, able to influence at senior executive levels.Effective Leadership and Team Management
- Able to effectively manage multi-disciplinary teams of developers, analysts, testers, infrastructure, and support.
- Able to develop strategies independently for complex situations, translate into concrete steps and assign responsibilities to various team members and/or other project managers.--
- Able to contribute to PMO initiatives for streamlining and improving processes and outcomes.Scope Management
- Able to translate business scope and objectives into an overall project or program plan.
- Knowledge of methods and tools to document complex solutions and build out requirements.
- Able to understand the client landscape and align solutions accordingly.
- Able to develop or adapt scope change process to the client/situation.
- Able to apply strategies, methods and tools to communicate scope changes with clients for the program.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. CAPM, PMP, Prince or similar Project Manager certification is preferred but not required.SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Agile) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).
