Job Description SUMMARYSupervising all drydocking and undocking operations while ensuring the safety of personnel, ship being docked, and the safe operation of the dry docks at all times.I. SAFETYLeader and Initiator in Safety. Ensures project team compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: - Ensures compliance with appropriate Company, EPA, OSHA, and USCG regulations.
- Ensures maintenance and associated record keeping of the floating dry dock and marine railways.
- Plans and executes safe drydocking evolutions and vessel launchings.
- Maintains positive stability of all vessels under company control.
- Plans and schedules manpower, material, and equipment.
- Trains personnel in the various aspects of dry dock operation and maintenance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Some travel required.III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises personnel assigned during vessel drydocking evolutions, vessel launching, vessel movements, dry dock maintenance, and preparations for aforementioned.IV. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
