This is a labor-intensive entry-level position with the potential for advancement. Position Responsibilities: - Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its component equipment
- Responsible for execution of cleaning assignments, grounds keeping, and assisting plant operations and maintenance as requested
- Full participation in our extensive safety program is required, including diligent use of the Safety Observation System in Process Map.
- Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedulePhysical Demands of the Role:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
