- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Install and secure sheet metal structures and equipment such as ductwork, fittings, and hangers
- Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts
- Install insulation within ductwork and ensure proper sealing to prevent energy loss
- Comply with all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of materialsCommercial Sheet Metal Mechanic Requirements:
