Facilities TechnicianPosition SummaryThe Facilities Technician is a key support function for the Manufacturing and Technical Service Areas. They are responsible for the planned and unplanned maintenance of production and plant equipment utilizing their skill and knowledge to troubleshoot, identify, and repair equipment in a timely manner. They are also tasked with the interpretation of drawings, manuals, and electronic searches to identify replacements parts for non-stock items.St. Petersburg is our primary softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America with a capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. --The featured RP Scherer softgel technology is a proven oral drug delivery solution to enhance bioavailability of poorly soluble Rx and OTC drug candidates. --Non-gelatin based OptiShell-- and Vegicaps-- capsules expand the range of molecules into softgel, ideal for challenging fill formulation. Within the Catalent network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve your most difficult development and manufacturing challenges.The Role - Repairing and Maintaining Production and Plant Equipment - Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate on the basis of mechanical and electronic principles.
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of production or processing machinery or equipment.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
- Other duties as assignedThe CandidateRequires a high school diploma or equivalent and must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:--
- Has completed an apprenticeship in electrical, HVAC or electro-mechanical and has a minimum of 5 years' experience after completing the apprenticeship and has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a second discipline.
- Or is a graduate of a trade school in electrical, HVAC or electro-mechanical and has a minimum of 10 years' experience after graduation and has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a second discipline.
