If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.We are currently seeking a Messaging Lead - US Citizen to join our team in Washington DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).Position's General Duties and Tasks:We are looking for a skilled Messaging Lead to support our client in delivering enterprise services to a diverse user base of approximately 10,000 across multiple government agencies and missions. This role operates within a no-fail environment, ensuring messaging services are available 24/7/365 to users worldwide, focusing on core services managed by the Information Systems Division (ISD), including: - Email for 15,000 mailboxes
- Instant messaging for 10,000 users
- Mobile device management for 10,000 devicesThe contractor provides Tier 2 through 4 systems engineering to maintain the reliability and security of these critical systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing scalable messaging architectures, including email, instant messaging, and mobile device management systems, to meet mission-critical availability requirements.
- Deploying updates, patches, and new features to messaging platforms while minimizing downtime and ensuring 99.99% system uptime.
- Integrating messaging systems with related enterprise services, such as Active Directory, PKI, and security applications, for seamless functionality.
- Maintaining system performance by tuning configurations, monitoring capacity, and addressing potential bottlenecks across on- and off-premises environments.
- Troubleshooting complex messaging issues, such as delivery failures, synchronization errors, and security breaches, escalated from lower-tier support.
- Testing system enhancements and configurations in controlled environments to validate reliability before deployment.
- Documenting engineering designs, integration processes, and maintenance procedures to support operational continuity and audits.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline. Education equivalency: 1.5 years of additional experience can substitute for 1 year of degree.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity (e.g., enterprise messaging systems with 10,000+ users).
- Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8140 for IAT Level 2 (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security) is required at hire.
- Must be a US citizen with an active Top Secret SCI Clearance and capable of receiving a higher level clearance.
- Must live within commuting distance to Washington, DC.Preferred Qualifications:
