We are currently seeking Systems Administrator (Storage & Recovery) with an active Top-Secret Clearance for full-time positions as part of an ongoing contract in Washington, DC.Please note: Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a current and active Top-Secret clearance.The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This may take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.Duties and Responsibilities: - Performing Windows System Administration;
- Upgrading hardware and software operating systems;
- Managing data distribution and storage;
- Backing up processes, Supporting emergency planning and disaster recovery operations;
- Providing physical and logical security measures to protect data center;
- Creating/enforcing/monitoring of government policies and procedures within the data center;
- Providing daily Data Center operations and administration services to include:
- Administration, monitoring, change management, configuration, release management, provisioning, security, performance and capacity planning, and incident and disaster recovery functions. These functions encompass all shared Data Center communications and hardware such as switches, routers, servers, printers, tape devices, SAN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN and related equipment attached to the Data Center Operations environment.
- Manage file space and other system resources for capacity and performance issues, including e-mail, user drives, and special application drives.
- Maintain a library of System Images (virtual machines) that can be rapidly deployed to add servers and services to the environment.
- Provide preventative and remedial maintenance required to meet system availability and performance requirements.
- Monitor the physical infrastructure (HVAC, power, PDU, UPS) and space planning.
- Maintain a Test Environment that supports configuration testing, security scanning, development of secure baselines for operating systems and applications and user testing of desired functionality.
- Assist counterintelligence personnel in conducting Computer Forensic Operations.
- Provide limited support for the TSDN network. Limited support constitutes providing advice to TSDN management or associated contractors related to TSDN network, hardware, or program issues.
- Ensure that the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) sites are maintained and ready for use at all times to include documented procedures.
- Participate in incident responses, contingencies, and other exercises as needed to maintain readiness.
- Report incidents and occurrences to the PM or Program Office.
- Maintain and provide accurate information and asset management on all devices, including software installed, revision levels, and hardware configurations.Required Qualifications:
