This position has a target start date of June 1, 2025. The University of the District of Columbia is a public, Historically Black College and University (HBCU) comprehensive university with an urban land-grant distinction. It is the District of Columbia's only public institution of higher education. UDC has historically been a minority-serving institution. The University services approximately 3,000 students across its two-year baccalaureate, masters, and professional programs. The Washington metropolitan community provides an exceptional learning laboratory for faculty, staff, and students. UDC offers a BSW Social Work Program established in 1976 and MSW Social Work Program is currently being established.Under the general supervision of the Master of Social Work Program Director, the MSW Project Coordinator assists in planning and coordinating the day-to-day activities and operations for the Pathway to Behavioral Grant for the MSW Program. The incumbent plans and carries out the successive steps and handles programmatic, faculty and student-related matters in accordance with instructions, policies and approved division-wide practices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Plans, coordinates and assists in managing the MSW programs located at the Division for Education, Health and Social Work.
- Works with internal offices/departments (e.g. Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, Dean's Office, Workforce Development, etc.) to create/revise and recommend policies, practices, and procedures and to ensure UDC's policies and practices are in compliance with accreditation standards and UDC requirements.
- In consultation with the MSW Program Director, responds to requests to provide summaries of data, records and/or progress reports on MSW programs and services for stakeholders and accrediting bodies.
- Researches and provides continuous up-to-date information on changes to licensing agencies, accrediting bodies and other legislative regulations as it relates to MSW programs.
- Works collaboratively with MSW Program Director, faculty and staff to develop and review assessment strategies, data collection, analysis and findings to produce outcomes that align with the requirements of UDC, CAS and CSWE.
- Collects, manages, monitors, tracks and analyzes all qualitative and quantitative data related to the MSW program (e.g. MSW students employment outcomes and partner employment offerings) for the purposes of informing data-driven programmatic decisions.
- Assists in providing courses and program offerings consistent with the strategic plan for CAS, the division and the MSW program.
- Develops, selects, writes, edits, assembles, maintains and distributes recruitment, training and course materials for the MSW program.
- Develops and implements a system for providing information and prompt responses to inquiries from prospective students, schools or other individuals/agencies related to the UDC MSW program.
- Coordinates and participates in MSW-specific and division-wide Student (and Partner) outreach, admissions, recruitment, retention/persistence events, activities, and processes.
- Works closely with the Office of Admissions to ensure that prospective students have met all admissions requirements and applications are submitted by each deadline date.
- Reviews and evaluates credit and informal education programs for quality performance and compliance with division standards.
- Monitors the progress and advisement of students through the program and student practicum experience.
- Participates in meetings and conferences, as necessary.
- Maintains high productivity standards, prioritizes tasks effectively, and manages resources (time, materials, and staff) in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
