<span>SAP Business Intelligence Developer Job in DC. The BI strategy has been implemented with SAP’s BI tool named Business Warehouse (BW). The information officer will provide support in business requirements, BW data architecture, dimensional modeling, and ETL development. Apply today!<br> <br>Key Responsibilities<br>The BW developer will work with team members in the design, development, and maintenance of the BW system. He/she will play a role in the overall design of BI applications using the latest release of SAP BI tools. <br>Ø Develop database designs using standard dimensional modeling techniques, star schema design, master data attributes and time-dependent characteristics;<br>Ø Participate in the design and development of complete data architecture and structures that support business requirements using SAP Business Warehouse (BW) which include BW Infocubes, design and development of DSO, multiproviders, and infosets.<br>Ø Analyze and write business requirements to address reporting solutions -- plan and facilitate business analysis sessions; capture the information and produce the deliverables from the business analysis sessions; document business definitions of data and develop ERM, DFD and translate to BW star schema.<br>Ø Assist in the writing of the technical requirements document, data flow diagrams, and source/target mapping for the writing of extraction transformation and loading routines.<br>Ø Write SAP extractors using ABAP or Informatica mappings.<br>Ø Execute performance tuning of BW queries, SQL, data loading, data export; and BW web reports, BW cache, etc;<br>Ø Participate in the development of queries, reports, using report designer, or BEx<br>Ø Monitor Process chains and Data loading.<br>Ø Schedule, track and monitor project tasks and resources using ISGIS standard tools such as Jira.<br> <br>Requirements<br>Minimum Education: MA/MS(In computer science or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. BS/BA is minimum education requirement)<br> <br>Ø Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 5 years is required. Preferred experience 3+ years in full life cycle implementations support in a technical role with hands-on BW & ABAP experience<br>Ø Knowledge of data warehousing; <br>Ø Knowledge of core SAP modules; FI, CO, RM , HR PS<br>Ø Demonstrated experience with developing BW functional design specifications<br>Ø Demonstrated development of efficient design of BW database objects, such as: Infocubes, ODSs, multiproviders, Infosets, etc.<br>Ø Experience with SAP BW on HANA specific optimizations.<br>Ø Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Candidates must be in possession of excellent interpersonal, presentation, and technical skills.<br>Ø Excellent problem solving and organizational skills <br>Ø Ability to work independently and as a team member <br>Ø Multi-tasking capabilities <br>Ø An excellent understanding of the BW data architecture <br>Ø An excellent understanding of BW specific multidimensional data modeling. An understanding of the differences between operational systems data modeling and data warehouse data modeling <br>Ø Candidates must have the ability to analyze, design, develop, implement, and support SAP R/3 and Business Warehouse Reporting solutions using SAP BW database designs, data modeling, relational databases, OLAP, and SQL development environments. <br>Ø The ability to probe and analyze data to determine business needs is required.<br> <br>Desired Skills <br>Ø Working knowledge of SAP BW 7.3 features that includes DTP’s Object Oriented ABAP and Integrated planning.<br>Ø Experience working with ETL tools, preferably Informatica and SAP BO Data <br> <br>Services<br>Ø Knowledge on SAP HANA basic concepts.<br>Ø Knowledge of Virtual/Transient Providers using SAP HANA Calculation views <br>Ø Knowledge of SAP SLT for real time replication of data into SAP HANA<br>Ø Strong understanding of BW integration with Business Objects.<br>Ø Experience with SAP BO Analysis for Office<br>Ø Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI as an interface to SAP BW<br>Ø Experience with Data Modeling application software (i.e., ERWIN, Oracle Designer, S-Designer, Visio/Professional, etc.)<br> <br>This position requires flexibility, creativity and initiative.
