Teksouth is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Executive with federal markets experience to join our teamThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in software services, data analytics, business intelligence, and business developmentThis is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the national capital region (DC, Maryland, Virginia)Candidates should have the ability to travel at least 25% of the time to customer meetings and eventsIn this role, you will spearhead business development initiatives within the federal government sector, primarily focusing on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)Your responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and fostering revenue growth within the federal government marketReporting directly to the Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organizational objectives forwardKey Responsibilities: --- Identify and assess new business prospects within the federal government sphere.
--- Cultivate and maintain relationships with influential decision-makers.
--- Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored solutions and proposals aligning with client requirements.
--- Lead the sales process from initial outreach to successful closure, ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery team.
--- Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
--- Conduct thorough client needs assessments and recommend appropriate Teksouth solutions in both technical and layman terms.
--- Deliver presentations on Teksouth's offerings effectively.
--- Fulfill other duties as directed by the Director of Business DevelopmentMinimum Qualifications:
--- Prior experience working with or selling into the Department of Homeland Security.
--- At least 7 years of demonstrable success in Business Development within the government IT services sector.
--- Proven track record in lead generation, business development, and sales closure.
--- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, data analytics, or a related field.
--- Entry to moderate proficiency in technical domains including decision/data-based dashboards, business intelligence, data analytics, cloud hosting, and software applications for decision-making enhancement.
--- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
--- Capability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
--- Willingness to travel up to 50% for client engagements.
--- Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:
--- Familiarity with Capture to Proposal processes.
--- Strong grasp of federal procurement procedures and regulations.
--- Understanding of Microsoft Power BI.
