Marathon TS is seeking Linux Engineer with Digital Asset Management experience to join our team to support a government contract. If you are passionate about IT customer support, infrastructure and operations, and you have extensive experience supporting a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system - We want to speak to you! It is 100% remote work! Overview: We provide IT infrastructure support to the National Gallery of Art. The National Gallery preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters the understanding of works of art, at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards. We are seeking candidates having training and experience providing DAM application support and administration and outstanding customer service! The National Gallery's enterprise Digital Asset Management system (eDAM) is based on the NetX DAM solution. The application is currently hosted in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment on the server-infrastructure managed by the Gallery. In this role, you will work under direction of IT management and support functional owners of the application. You will plan and execute the re-installation and configuration of the NetX software, assuring compatibility of all of the components; tune the application, and perform the functional testing /verification. Technical Environment Responsibilities : - Operating System Upgrade (Redhat Linux 7.x and Microsoft Windows)
- General System Administration Support
- Certificate Renewal
- NetX Upgrades (Current Version of NetX DAM: 9.13.5)
- New Feature Activations
Requirements: - Expert-level knowledge of working with Java-based applications in Tomcat environment
- Strong knowledge of deploying and supporting applications in Linux-based environment Knowledge of open-source databases will be a plus
- Previous technical experience supporting DAM products is encouraged
- Experience with advance troubleshooting of the applications
- Solid hands-on knowledge of the underlying NetX application environment is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Education & Certification: - Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in related area of study (Computer Science, Information Technology, or other) preferred.
- Nice to have one or more of the certifications such as: Red Hat Certification; CompTia Server+; CompTia Security+; LPIC-1 Linux or CCNA Employment Perks:
