This role is pivotal in optimizing supply chain efficiency for our diverse clientele, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods within local routes. With our commitment to top-tier service, we provide our drivers with modern equipment and technology to support job efficiency and safety. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to various local destinations without overnight trips. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate logs of driving times, deliveries, and rest periods using electronic equipment and software. Communicate effectively with dispatch and management to report any issues or delays and to receive delivery instructions or schedule changes. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations, maintaining a clean driving record. Provide excellent customer service during delivery, acting as a professional representative of Premier Transportation. Strong driving skills and familiarity with local traffic laws and routes. Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Proficient in the use of electronic logging devices and GPS technology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
