By embracing the unique talents, perspectives, and experiences of our employees, we cultivate an environment that embraces teamwork, encourages open dialogue, and provides opportunities for growth.About the roleAs a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations of industrial systems and equipment associated with Covanta's industrial disposal process.Position Responsibilities: - Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections utilizing various types of designated industrial equipment and hand/power tools
- Complete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details following facility procedures
- Troubleshoot assigned equipment and responsibly report issues and repair requests utilizing defined work order processes and procedures
- Utilize weekly activity books and critical items checklist to perform operational and equipment-related function checks
- Safely perform lock-out/tag-out processes of equipment in support of assigned maintenance teams
- Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift scheduleTotal Rewards & Compensation:
