Job ID: J-00293007Job DescriptionAbility to design and document all aspects of the electrical infrastructure including:AC, DC, Main power distribution (panel boards, boxes and cabinets)Interconnect cables, bundles and connectors (harnessing)Electronic racks, cabinets, control consolesInterfacing with printed circuit board designsModeling of flex and rigid PWB's including volumes and critical part locationsExperience designing electronic enclosure assembliesExperience in sheet metal designExperience designing for manufacturability (DFM) and developing assembly work instructions for low to medium volume productsExperience with 3D solid modeling for design conceptualization and realization (preferred experience using NX)Experience supporting design fit check during integration & testing of electrical & electronic systems at the module, sub-system & system levelKnowledgeable of industry codes and standards ( i.e. NEC 70, NFPA 79, Machine Tool Standards)Knowledge of FEA is a plusWorking knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematic diagramsWorking knowledge of design drafting best practices including geometric dimensioningPerform dimensional and tolerance analysis as neededStrong written and verbal communication skills requiredAbility to write assembly, test procedures, test specifications and test reportsExperienceMinimum qualifications - the hired candidate must possess all of the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position including:BS Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering2+ years of Mechanical design experience including Electronics PackagingRequired technical skillsMechanical design of electronic cabinets and racksCable routing, cable bundling and wiring designSheet metal designKnowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools3D CAD (NX preferred); Other parametric programs like SOLIDWORKS or Creo are also acceptable.DMS (Teamcenter preferred); Other systems such as Windchill are also acceptable.ERP (SAP preferred); Other ERP systems also acceptable.Soft skill requirementsStrong English communication skills - both written and oralExperience working in a project-oriented teamAbility to prioritize tasksPersonal SkillsCan observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.Can learn and apply new information or skills.Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability.Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements.Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer.Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines.Other informationThis position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).Essential Job FunctionsThe essential job functions for this position include, but are not limited to:Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a standing or seated position for long periods of up to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week.Commute to ASML's facility and report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis.Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
