Physical Therapist Location: Delta, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,610 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Physical Therapy License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions Description: Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director, the Staff Therapist is accountable for administering Physical Therapy to patients from pediatric to geriatric. The goal of therapy is to improve the patient's functional ability. Position Responsibilities: Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results. Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription. Helps patients accomplish treatment plans and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises. Instructs, encourages, and assists patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities. Administers physical therapy treatments by giving massages, initiating traction, and applying physical agents. Utilizes hydrotherapy tanks and whirlpool baths, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Directs treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants. Evaluates the effects of physical therapy treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing and noting patient progress. Recommends adjustments and modifications as needed. Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers. Contributes to patient care conferences. Assures continuation of the therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs. Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs. Recommends and/or provides assistive equipment. Recommends outpatient or home health follow-up programs. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Maintains patient confidence and protects hospital operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Follows manufacturer's instructions and troubleshoots malfunctions, calling for repairs when necessary. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Establishes personal networks and participates in professional societies. Develops physical therapy staff by providing information and conducting in-service training programs. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. Studies existing and new legislation and anticipates future legislation. Enforces adherence to requirements and advises management on necessary actions.
