Mammography Tech Location: Edwards, CO Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,592 to $2,736 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $72.00 - $76.00/Hourly. Summary: A Mammography Technologist is a specialized radiologic technologist who performs breast imaging procedures to assist in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases, including cancer. They ensure patient comfort while producing high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities: Identifies and reviews patient’s requisition for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information for the physician and patient. Working knowledge of all Mammography and stereotactic equipment, examinations, and protocols, as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents and sterile techniques. Conduct and document quality control assuring equipment is within safe limits per MQSA and ACR guidelines. Clearly communicate and educate patients prior to, during, and after breast imaging procedures to guide patients and loved ones to the next step of their breast health coordinating the continuity of care. Review and perform breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy, present completed examinations to the radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Routinely schedule breast imaging appointments and assists in coordinating breast imaging exams to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Assists with the management of the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments and ensures the proper patient charge. Organize, monitor, and order medical supply inventory to assure cost effective departmental spending. Acts as a team player to assist in the overall success of the department. Promotes breast health education by assisting in organizational promotional/educational events. Requirements Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, BLS Certification, ARRT (M) Certification.
