As a Senior Manager, Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for defining testing strategies, methodologies, processes and tool utilization based on best practices and managing a team of Quality Assurance associates to ensure quality solutions are delivered. You will be responsible for identifying engineering quality assurance needs and determining the appropriate solutions. The broad range of responsibilities include leading a quality assurance team, partnering with key stakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service level agreements. This includes monitoring on-going risks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resource planning & optimization and performance management. Role Responsibilities - Develop and implement testing and quality engineering artifacts for new and existing software.
- Ensure that software functionality is implemented according to the product stakeholder needs.
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs, especially for unit tests.
- Log and track system flaws using the JIRA issue tracking system.
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.
- Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure.
- Ensure the implementation of high-end, business-wide, critical strategy set by senior management.
- Provide direct oversight of quality engineering team, adhering to QA standards and SLAs, and escalating risks and issues to the QE Head and work closely with Engineering Delivery Head to resolve the same.
- Invest time daily on all assigned projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technical challenges and make escalations as necessary
- Participate in capacity and program planning exercises.
- Manage and mentor 2-4 test leads who will manage a team of 6-10 engineers (FTE & Non-FTE included)
Role Requirements - Masters in computer science engineering or related field is required.
- 15+ years of IT leadership and management experience
- Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude.
- Strong Experience in API and back-end testing.
- Strong experience of Mobile testing is needed.
- Knowledge of accessing relational databases (e.g. SQL scripting)
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.
- Prior experience leading onshore and offshore delivery, including working overlapping business hours to partner with onshore teams. Capable of managing a big team (40+ people)
- Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with developers and product stakeholders globally.
- Technical areas of expertise:
- Experience with test management systems
- Strong background in test writing to provide full spectrum testing.
- Functional Stability, Performance Reliability, System Resource Utilization, Usability
- Experience with core Java, API Testing related tools like Karate, Postman.
- Experience with Playwright and Appium testing tools will be a significant advantage.
- Familiar with deployment strategies, including creation and oversight of multiple QA environments.
- Excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Practical experience with creation of, and adherence to, an agile development scheduled for testing.
- Background in working with product stakeholders to organize, develop and execute User Acceptance Tests
- Modeling experience for system execution workflows (e.g. UML Activity Diagrams) to aid in full system test coverage.
- Experience with selecting/creating appropriate test data and practiced at Structured Query Language (SQL) to validate system's correct data handling.
- Experience with automation of test scripting, API testing.
- Ability to utilize issue tracking analysis to identify focus areas of improvement based on quality assurance findings.

Salary The base salary range is $ 140,000 - 150,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance.
