Shift Details: While training around the first month you will work 5 - 8 hour days and then you will move to 4 - 10 hour days - Clinic is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. - this is a 36 hour a week position. As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: - Providing Patient Care: Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient's visit and condition.
- Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
- Team Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed. Minimum Qualifications
- Current American Heart Association (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
- This position requires one of the following: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state where applying
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers. Preferred Qualifications
