FUNCTION: -The Physical Therapist will carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: -The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Minimum Qualifications:
--- Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups that will be receiving services.
--- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations.
--- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
--- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
--- Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily.
- Responsibilities: - Provides direct patient care, evaluates needs, consults with specialists, and adjusts care plans. - Designs and implements patient care based on assessments and involves significant others. - Conducts therapy within defined standards and directs support staff. - Communicates effectively to achieve positive patient outcomes. -
