Account Executive - Sensor Sales Department: Sales Employment Type: Full Time Location: Denver Headquarters Reporting To: Alexis Badder Compensation: $120,000 - $240,000 / year Description Aeris Technologies Inc., a proud subsidiary of Project Canary, PBC, stands at the forefront of laser-based gas analyzer technology. We specialize in crafting and marketing advanced instruments pivotal for quantifying greenhouse gases, atmospheric pollutants, and natural gas leaks. Our parent company, Project Canary, is a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. Project Canary builds high-fidelity sensors, ingests data from various other technologies and sources, and leverages proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders. We seek a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our dedicated Sales team. The goal is to grow Aeris Technologies Science and Environment business in North America. If you are technical, well-spoken and driven to succeed. Let's Chat! Responsibilities - Strategize and execute a national sales plan targeting research and environmental monitoring markets.
- Engage with customers to understand needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Determine how existing products contribute to customer's workflow, gaps with current offering and develop future business opportunities.
- Be the voice of the customer internally to R&D, Marketing and other functional teams to strengthen value proposition messaging, product & solution offerings to customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through coordination with Operations and Customer Success teams.
- Support industry tradeshows, technical committees, and client user groups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations.
- Provide technical support and resolve customer challenges, escalating as necessary.
- Gather market intelligence and stay ahead of competition, economics, and the regulatory environment. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- 2+ years experience in Business Development or Sales management with practical experience in scientific instrumentation
- Bachelor's (Master, PhD preferred) degree in science, engineering, or related STEM field.
- 2+ years of selling experience in the gas analyzer space
- Strong network in various fields such as academic research, environmental monitoring, industrial applications, utilities, or oil and gas.
- Knowledgeable about climate science, air pollution, and greenhouse gases monitoring
- Demonstrated ability in new client acquisition and advancing sales opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to independently strategize and execute sales plans.
- Familiarity with competitive technologies in the trace gas analysis space.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
