Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED#LI-SMOOTThe Space Systems Strategic Business Unit unites space activities under one umbrella and collaborative environment: Civil Space, National Space, and Military Space.What You'll Do: - Facilitate the operations and logistics aspects of Space Systems projects.
- Work with various program leadership / engineering disciplines in support of program execution.
- Coordinate with the program teams on submittal of internal reservation systems (ITS, Facilities, etc.) and ensures completion of internal tickets.
- Facilitate standing telecoms, meetings and events from start to finish.
- Facilitate the Operations team project action items by managing action items in a tool, ensuring actions are documented, assigned and worked to timely resolution. Facilitate action item closure as required to support program execution.
- Look for and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement of program execution processes and tools.
- Manage program facilities needs including office space, equipment, etc.
- Prepare and communicate status reports. Develop, use, and maintain tools to monitor project progress.
- Act as liaison between Space Systems Ops, program management, project team, functional management, and other SBU's.
- Receive top level direction, seek clarification where needed, break down higher level goals into more immediate tasks, arrange those tasks in a coherent plan and communicate that vision to a wide range of team members and stakeholders.
- Drive tasks to completion, on time and on schedule.
- Work with various program/ engineering disciplines to provide infrastructure support of hardware build, integration, and test.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A history of performance illustrating skills being a self-starter and well organized, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Experience with the MS Office suite of tools.A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
