Salary: $23.23 - $33.95 Hourly Location : Boulder County, CO Job Type: Hourly Job Number: 5891(ZZ2) Department: Community Services Division: CSD Comm Justice Services Opening Date: 04/25/2024 Closing Date: 5/8/2024 11:59 PM Mountain FLSA: Non-Exempt Description Boulder County Community Services, Community Justice Services (CJS) is seeking to hire an Hourly Pretrial Case Manager. This position is for an individual that is passionate about working with clients involved in the justice system to align with best practices in pretrial services, serve our system partners, and to serve the needs of our clients to be successful. The Pretrial Supervision Unit supervises clients in the community who are ordered by the court to be supervised while on bond. Our goal in this unit is to provide a safe alternative to incarceration during the pretrial period by providing supervision and monitoring, helping bridge clients to community resources when needed and empowering our clients to succeed. We do this through our core values of compassion, connection, and courage. This is an hourly, non-benefited position. This is a term limited position with an anticipated ending date of January 24, 2025. This position will work Monday - Friday averaging 20-30 hours per week, based on unit need. This position will work at the following locations: Boulder Justice Center 1777 6th St. Boulder Co 80302, Longmont Court House 1035 Kimbark St. Longmont Co 80501. Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work. Hiring Salary Range: $23.23 - $33.95 hourly additional compensation will be provided for bilingual staff Tentative Hiring Timeline: - Phone Screening: Week of May 13th
- First Round Interviews: Week of May 20th
- Second Round Interviews: Week of May 27th
- Language Proficiency Test: May 30th
- Reference Check: Week of May 27th Examples of Duties
- Manages a client caseload consisting of low-risk individuals who are not on location or electronic substance monitoring.
- Performs intake and follow up assessments for the purpose of recommendations to referral sources, case management and supervision decisions.
- Develops case plan based on client needs.
- Staff cases with team members and supervisor.
- Provide backup to team members.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as the District Attorneys, Public Defenders, community partners, judicial partners, and Probation.
- Develops reports to submit to the court.
- Arrange substance use testing for clients who are court ordered to testing and have their initial intake with a Pretrial Case Manager more than a week out.
- Conduct in office Substance Use Monitoring.
- Meet with clients who walk into the office to check in or need assistance from a Pretrial Case Manager.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and support CJS/Boulder County Racial Equity efforts.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.

In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and one- year professional experience, either paid or volunteer, working directly with human services or criminal justice related role. Additional related education may count toward experience.
